Given The Dynamic And Complex Nature Of The Drug Phenomenon That Has Once Again Become Evident In The Context Of The Covid-19 Pandemic; The Institutional Strategy 2021-2024 Adopts A Future-Oriented Approach To Change To Guarantee A Safe Response To The New Challenges. In That Sense, The Institutional Strategic Plan Includes Four (4) Specific Guidelines, Detailed Below: • Institutional Strengthening: Try To Apply A Model Of Comprehensive And Quality Management To Guarantee The Efficiency In The Development Of Drug Policies And Thus Overcome The Weaknesses Of Inter -Institutional Coordination Of Territorial And Sectoral Groups Taking Advantage Of The Conditions And Provisions Of All Actors Of Society. • Demand Reduction: Seeks To Avoid And Prevent Drug Use, As Well As Address The Negative Consequences For Both Health And Society Originated By The Improper Use Of Drugs, Through The Formulation, Articulation, Implementation And Monitoring Of Public Drug Policies In The Educational, Community, Labor, Sports And Policies Of Treatment, Rehabilitation And Social Reintegration. • Research: Refers To The Availability Of Updated And Reliable Information To Provide Users With Useful Information With Quality And Veracity, Both For Citizens In General And For Public And Private Institutions, Educational And Research Centers. • International Relations: Strengthening And Improving The Relationship With International Cooperation Mechanisms Of Which The Country Is Signatory, With The Purpose Of Promoting Good Drug Practices And Information Exchange.
