The Purpose Of The Contract Is To Modify A Section Of Collector No. 11 Of The Berga Sewerage Network, Consisting Of A 400 Mm Diameter Concrete Pipe, As It Presents Recurring Incidents At Its Downstream End In The Form Of Blockages Caused By Its Low Slope And Medium-Frequent Spills From The Spillway Into An Unnamed Stream. The Section Where The Blockages Occur Is Located Within A Privately Owned Plot Of Land For Residential Use, And Therefore Requires Access By Heavy Machinery That Damages The State Of The Landscaping. The Route Modification Works Include The Construction Of A New Section Of Reinforced Concrete Collector, An Elevated Crossing Using A Metal Structure, A New Spillway In The Stream And The Corresponding Manholes Associated With The Collector.
