Description: | Invitation for submission of Proposals for Flight Kitchen Expansion of SriLankan Catering Limited SriLankan Catering Limited is a fully owned subsidiary of SriLankan Airlines and operates as the sole airline caterer at Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake, Sri Lanka. Its modern Flight Kitchen at Bandaranaike International Airport with 18,348 square meters was built on a 5-acre property and became operational on 4th June 2006. This was designed by internationally reputed architects using the latest efficiency trends with the highest standards of safety and hygiene. The kitchen was designed to handle a capacity of 13,500 meals per day. However, currently number of meals produced are averaging 25,000 meals per day in certain months. Therefore, the company look forward in increasing the capacity of the flight kitchen to cater for the future challenging demand. Prospective bidders should fulfill below preliminary requirements. 1) SriLankan Catering Ltd invites firms of architects/ Consultants registered as legal bodies under the law of the relevant country/s. And 2) Specialized in Flight Kitchen constructions/ designing and has experience in at least completing one in-flight catering Project above US$ 25 Million within the last 5 years. Consultant should provide proposals/ studies/ reports in order to undertake improvement of Existing Processes & Layouts to facilitate increased capacity or an expansion of Flight Kitchen facility to cater to forecasted demand if necessary, at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake. Eligible applications should apply to collect the bid documents paying non-refundable bid document fee of US$ 100 or LKR 20,000/- to SriLankan Catering along with relevant documents to prove the criteria given above.
