| Description: | Amici del Mondo – World Friends ONLUS (WF) is an international NGO founded in 2001 and active in Italy and Kenya. WF’s main areas of intervention are health and education, targeting communities and healthcare workers. WF is implementing the "Establishment of a Health Network in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda" Project, AID 012519/01/1, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation - Nairobi Regional Office, with the aim of improving Mother and Child Health in four Counties of Kenya: Nairobi, Kilifi, Nuyandarua and Meru. Specifically, the intervention was designed to increase the availability and quality of assistance and care services for pregnant women and newborns, with the aim of reducing maternal and neonatal mortality rates in the target areas. Especially, within the expected result 4, WF wishes to purchase and provide medical equipment to healthcare facilities, to increase the efficiency of the maternity departments. World Friends intends to award a contract for the Supply of medical equipment in Kenya.
