Espon-Collecting And Analysing Data For The Post-27 Interreg (Core-Ib)

This Targeted Analysis Aims To Carry Out A Territorial Analysis Of The North Sea Rhine Mediterranean Corridor And Deliver A Sound And Evidence-Based Foundation For Developing A Common Spatial And Governance Approach For The Nsmed Corridor, Potentially Serving As A Model For Other Trans-European Corridors. The Geographical Focus Of The Project Revolves Around The Integration Of The Rhine-Alpine (Ralp) Corridor And The North Sea-Mediterranean (Nsmed) Corridor Into The North Sea Rhine Mediterranean (Nsrm) Corridor.

The Targeted Analysis will contribute to understanding the Mediterranean emerging geography in terms of its delineations, functional and cooperation arrangements, involved actors and coherence with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), providing evidence to inform new governance mechanisms and consolidate the existing ones. Specifically, the Targeted Analysis aims to provide evidence on cooperation dynamics, their spatial and thematic distribution; their spatial and thematic overlaps and potential spatial and thematic gaps; their institutional and funding foundations and their effects on sustainable development in the functional area.

This Targeted Analysis Aims To Create An Evidence-Based Tool For Municipalities To Define And Quantify Their Demand For Green Infrastructure. It Will Include The Stocktaking Of Existing Methodologies And Indicators, And The Development And Validation Of The New Methodology To Ensure That It Can Be Incorporated In Planning Processes For Both Existing And New Urban Developments.
