Description - Description: The project includes seed collection and cleaning, seedling development, cold storage and transport, site preparation, seedling planting and on-going site monitoring and management of white spruce (Picea glauca), paper birch (Betula papy rifera), balsam poplar (Populus balsamifera), and quaking aspen (commonly known as trembling aspen, Populus tremuloides) between Riding Mountain National Park and Duck Mountain in Manitoba.Tree species native to the area will be planted on 100 hectares of tame grassland that was previously forest.
