Description - Description: The Nakusp Hot Springs were built in 1974 and have not been substantially changed since then. The current furnace is at the end of its service life. This RFP is for upgrading the current diesel forced air furnace to a liquid source heat pump forced air furnace. The heat pump should use the hot springs water as its source and distribute the heat via the existing air ducting. The Nakusp Hot Springs has a natural source of hot water. It flows in the building at about 150 LPM at a range of 32C – 47C depending on the point in the plumbing.There is a circulation loop of 50mm pipe from the hot springs water exit tank to the mechanical room.
