Description - Description: Vermont’s Universal Recycling Law, Act 148 of 2012, enacted a disposal ban on recycling and required trash facilities and haulers to offer recycling collection services. No funding source was allocated at that time for the build-out or maintenance of Vermont’s recycling infrastructure. Fortunately, Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has been able to fund several rounds of infrastructure grants that support recycling infrastructure in Vermont.
