Description - The Technology Department has been housed in its current workshop in Leusden since 1956. Initially only for the overhaul of the then tank, the Centurion. Today, the Technology Department performs Depot Level Maintenance (DLM) on all defense ground-ba sed weapon systems. In addition to periodic and major maintenance of these ground-based systems, the department also carries out modifications, tests and projects to improve the deployment of the Army. Due to cutbacks at the Ministry of Defence, major investments to maintain the complex in Leusden have not been made in recent decades. As a result, an irreparable maintenance backlog has arisen.
