Description - Description: At the Molecular Biology Laboratory, we have a need to quality assure the integrity of nucleic acid (DNA and RNA) preparations, mainly RNA. We purify a large number of RNA and DNA preparations annually and for downstream analyses such as quantitative PCR and deep sequencing it is important that the preparations are of high quality and integrity. Previously, we have used automated electrophoresis of nucleic acids using the Agilent Bioanalyzer 2100 for this purpose.
