Description - Description: The instrument will be used to identify and quantify trace amounts of microplastics, plastic chemicals, PCBs, pesticides and PBDEs in various matrices. A major investment in the environment and health field over many years has been analy zes of environmental contamination in human samples. We are among the leading laboratories in Europe for such analyses. In order to also follow up how people are exposed to microplastics, we will establish a corresponding analysis technique at FHI that can be combined with analysis of POPs. We have both external assignments where FHI receives an income, and participate with analyzes in various research projects where we are involved as partners.
