Description - Bymiljøetaten is an agency in Oslo municipality that manages public areas such as streets, squares, parks, open spaces, sports facilities, fields and inner Oslofjord. The Norwegian Environment Agency is also responsible for air, noise, water and soi l. The Urban Environment Agency's goal is to make Oslo a safe, beautiful, green and active city. Along the quays close to the center of Oslo, the seabed is littered with large objects, plastic packaging and lost fishing gear such as old nets and fishing lines. The littering is a threat to the environment as it spreads environmental toxins and microplastics into the fjord. Lost fishing gear poses a major threat to wildlife as they continue to fish
