BACKGROUND The Wichita VAMC currently uses a HIX CORP Infrared Oven to heat plastics to form prosthetic limb components for test soc kets. The current oven was acquired in 1983, is beyond its current life cycle, and due for replacement. The new oven will provide the prosthetist with updated features to allow for more efficient heating and increasing safety to clinician with rotating cart feature not on current oven.
