Description - Description: The city of Neustadt in Holstein is planning to build a Cap Arcona documentation center as an extension to the existing zeittor museum. This new part of the building with around 530 m² of gross floor space will expand the exhibition and should meet the requirements of a modern, inclusive and didactically valuable museum. A special focus is on a sustainable and architecturally high-quality design that ensures a sensible integration of the new building with the existing buildings. The exhibition will focus on the Cap Arcona disaster of May 3, 1945 and its historical reappraisal in order to create a place of remembrance and education. Construction costs: approx. €5 million gross
