The Limfjord connection has been politically adopted by the “Act on the construction of a third Limfjord connection” LAW no. 624 of 11/06/2024, which entered into force on 1 July 2024. The total project grant is approx. 8 billion DKK.3. The Limfjord connection includes the construction of an approximately 20-kilometer-long four-lane motorway in the Egholm line with a connection to the E45 Nordjyske Motorvej in the south and the E39 Hirtshals Motorvejen in the north. The motorway runs west of Aalborg and across the island of Egholm.
