Description - Description: Background Information The New York District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) proposes to perform maintenance dredging of the New York Harbor, Sandy Hook Federal Navigation Channel. The dredged material would be dredged and su bsequently transported to and placed at the Sea Bright Offshore Borrow Area (SBOBA), 5 miles southeast of Sandy Hook Point, NJ, and a stockpile placement at Lot J of the National Park Service (NPS) Sandy Hook Gateway National Recreation Area or at other stockpile site(s) identified by NPS.
