Description - Description: On 1 April 2011, the National Police entered into a contract with Siemens IT Solution and Services A/S (now ATOS IT Solutions and Services A/S, CVR no. 33051034) regarding operation and maintenance of the IT system Pas 1:1. The contract was entered into on the basis of a SKI agreement (02.18).Pas 1.1 is a central biometric solution that supports the collection and display of fingerprints and digital passport images in Danish passports. Denmark is obliged to maintain the inclusion of biometrics in Danish passports, cf. Council Regulation No. 2252/2004 of 13 December 2004, and Passport 1:1 is thus a critical part of the total annual production of approx. 600,000 Danish passports.
