Description - Description: The Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship will conduct moose population inventories in winter 2024/2025 (December and/or January) as part of its efforts to monitor and manage wildlife populations in the Peace Region. Two Bell 206 series helicopters and 2 BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) approved pilots will be required to complete the surveys. Surveys will take place in Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) 7-21. Methodology for these surveys will follow Stratified Random Block Sampling techniques.
