Description - Description: At the Department of Geosciences, University of Bergen, analysis of major and trace elements in pulverized rock samples is an important activity at the ICP laboratory. Before analyzing the samples with ICP-AES and ICP-MS, the samples mus t be dissolved and transferred to a homogeneous, particle-free nitric acid solution. At the laboratory, we now need a new melting machine to produce the glass beads which are later dissolved in acid and analysed.
