Description - Description: The Cokeries du Brabant site is situated north of the centre of Grimbergen, between the Eppegemsesteenweg and the Oostvaartdijk, at the height of Verbrande Brug. Until the 1970s, a coke factory was active at this location, which caused h istorical soil contamination. After the demolition of the coke factory, other operations were active and are still present. This contamination on and from this site has been investigated in various descriptive soil investigations. The remediation of this site is taking place in phases, both spread out over time and spread across the site.
