Description - Description: The FAA has a requirement for acquisition of equipment for down converter modules to support the Airport Surface Detection Equipment (ASDE-3) radar system. The ASDE-3 system provides critical surface surveillance capability to major airp orts across the NAS. It uses enhanced processing software and safety logic to alert controllers and prevent runway incursions at large congested airports. This equipment is only known to be available from CTT Inc., San Jose, CA, as they hold the proprietary data rights. This acquisition will procure the following equipment: Down Converter Modules (DC), P/N:SA-1990-90, NSN 5840-01-320-1732 The FAA does not have rights in specifications or drawings
