Description - Description: The climate strategy for Oslo states that "from 2030 at the latest, Oslo is a carbon-negative city, that is to say that Oslo contributes to reducing the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere through both biological and industrial carbon capture and storage." To contribute to this, the Norwegian Climate Agency and the Urban Environment Agency will start a pilot project using biochar in planting along a cycle path. In this project, we want to gain more knowledge about the effects biochar can have on carbon storage, growing conditions, water absorption, and the handling of pollution and road salt in a typical plant field in Oslo.
