Description - Description: The Sisters' Residence, the old half-timbered building, on the site of the Herkenrode Abbey has deteriorated significantly. Urgent conservation works are required. The assignment involves dismantling individual elements, inventorying and storing the valuable elements and stabilizing the whole. Non-reusable parts are extensively documented and disposed of. The assignment covers, among others, the following works: - Preparatory works, including site furnishings; - Bracing, inventory and dismantling of the structure and building elements; - Color research on stucco and decorative elements; - Resistograph measurements; - Removal of excessively weathered building elements; - Bracing
