Description - Description: The flood disaster in July 2021 also affected the school center in Sinzig. Several schools, a cafeteria and two gyms located near the Ahr were flooded. One of them is the Rudi Altig sports hall. At the time it was more than 2 meters unde r water. The damage goes back to the masonry and elementary structures. The hall was gutted as an immediate measure and then examined for washed-up bacteria and suspended matter. The sports hall is now to be prepared as part of the reconstruction measure.
