Description - Description: After Cyclone Gonu and the damages it caused to the Sultanate of Oman, particularly in the Wilayat of Seeb, the ministry conducted a feasibility study and prepared detailed designs for protection dams in the Samail Wadi and upgraded the status of the Al Khawd Recharge dam from replenishment to protection. The study recommended the construction of a protection system consisting of three dams in addition to drainage channels below the wadi Al Khawd Recharge dam.
