Description - Description: The fast ferry of the future is a co-operation between Vestland, Trøndelag and Nordland counties with the aim of developing and constructing new, environmentally friendly express boats that shall go in traffic along the Norwegian coast. The project is supported by Klimasats. Concept development and a comprehensive design phase has previously been carried out, which shows that it is possible to develop energy efficient express boats of zero emissions. However, experience from previous project phases and dialogues with the market shows that the risks associated with the transition from design to construction are still too high.
