Description - Description: The UCD School of Chemistry hosts many research groups that work to prepare, characterize and apply a range of materials ranging from nanomaterial catalysts to battery materials and crystalline sensors. A principal characterization tool missing from the school is a physisorption chemisorption apparatus capable of measuring the BET surface area, the BJH pore volumes and the metal surface areas or total acidities of nanomaterials such as zeolites, metal supported catalysts, mesoporous silicates, Metal Organic Frameworks and related solid phase materials.
