Description - Description: The Kuwait Low Altitude Surveillance System (KLASS) is comprised of a tethered Aerostat uploaded with Radar and other communications electronics equipment. The KLASS also includes an aerostat mooring station, operations and flight contro l center, motor generators, weather radar, radar wind profiler, helium storage trailers and a purification system, and other ancillary equipment. The system has been an operational asset for the State of Kuwait since the 1980s.
