Description - Dams Safety NSW (DSNSW) is an independent regulatory body, established in 2019, that manages dams in NSW. It is currently funded through general government revenue, however its governing Act (the Dams Safety Act 2015) includes a provision for a levy of declared dams to be its source of funding instead. The Premier has asked IPART to review the efficient costs of DSNSW and design a levy to recover these costs from owners of individual dams.
