Description - Description: Since 2004, the Commission has produced the EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboards to analyse corporate R&D investment data and the positioning of EU-based companies compared to their global peers. The publication of the Scoreboard in December each year intends to raise awareness of the importance of R&D for businesses and to encourage firms to disclose information about their R&D investments and other intangible assets, provide economic analyses and inspire policy recommendations for Europe.
