Description - Description: The Digital Node Stuttgart (DKS) is a pilot project in the starter package of the Digital Rail Germany (DSD). The aim of the DSD program is to modernize the control and safety technology (LST) throughout Germany. The DKS includes the equ ipment of the Stuttgart and Plochingen network districts with around 500 kilometers of track. For the first time in Germany, a large railway junction is being equipped with digital interlockings (DSTW) and the European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2.
