Description - Description: The Digital Node Stuttgart (DKS) is a pilot project in the starter package of the Digital Rail Germany (DSD), within which the foundations for the extensive modernization of control and safety technology (LST) in Germany are being laid. As part of the DKS, the Stuttgart and Plochingen network districts - a total of around 500 kilometers of track - are being equipped. Building on digital interlockings (DSTW) and the European Train Control System (ETCS), further technologies are gradually being put into operation, including highly automated driving (ATO GoA 2) and the traffic management system Capacity and Traffic Management System (CTMS).
