Description - Description: The recording archive of the Finnish language, which is part of the Center for Domestic Languages, has approximately 24,000 hours of recordings and videos. The majority of the material is recorded on ¼-inch open-reel tapes, which have b een digitized since 1999. More than 80 percent of the material has been digitized. Digitization has largely been done as a purchase service, and the archive has completely stopped its own digitization in 2016. The main part of the non-digitized material is open-reel tapes.
