Description - Description: Research into the biomass and biodiversity of insects in Zeeland using cameras and AI recognition, called DIOPSIS. The insect population in nature is compared with the insect population in agricultural areas. The assignment is carried ou t in a partnership between Faunabit, Naturalis, EIS and Radboud University. The DIOPSIS consortium is a group of experts in the field of insect monitoring, digital image recognition and data analysis. The service uses an automatic insect camera that is equipped with an AI algorithm that can analyze the photos from this camera. Radboud University Nijmegen provides ecological expertise and interpretation of the data and EIS Insect Knowledge Center.
