Description - Description: After considering various options, the DWD decided to introduce two different types of LIDAR measuring devices (Doppler LIDAR and water vapor DIAL) at 13 locations in Germany and thus further develop the DWD's warning system.Using LIDAR measuring technology, meteorological profile data is obtained in greater temporal and spatial density than has previously been the case.
