Description - Description: Port of Townsville Limited invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers for the Drydocking of HMAS Townsville as described in more detail in Part 5 – Scope.HMAS Townsville is one of 15 Fremantle Class Patrol Boats commissioned in 1981 and operated by the Royal Australian Navy until decommissioning in 2005. In 2007 the HMAS Townsville was donated to the Maritime Museum of Townsville as a Museum Ship. Currently HMAS Townsville is moored at the Marine Precinct. To prevent any further deterioration of the HMAS Townsville, the vessel shall be hauled out of water for drydocking on the former Curtain Brother’s slipway on Ross Creek.The general scope of works covered under this
