Gurugram - 122052 Dated: 07 July 2023 “Invitation of Expression of Interest (EOI) for engagement as partner for ESG Services” Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from interested organizations for empanelling as partners for setting-up and implementing Environmental-Social-Governance (ESG) services. The EOI document can be downloaded from the IICA’s website http://iica.nic.in Interested organizations, who meet the eligibility criteria, may furnish EOI with all necessary documents by an email, along with a Covering Letter duly signed by an authorized signatory on or before 17.07.2023. About the IICA & SOBE The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) is a premier autonomous institution under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, set up as a center of excellence supporting the growth of the corporate sector in India through an integrated and multi-disciplinary approach. It aims at providing credible intellectual leadership in corporate regulation, governance and running sustainable businesses. It is also a think tank that curates a repository of data and knowledge for policy makers, regulators as well as other stakeholders working in the domain of corporate affairs. As a premier capacity building institution for the corporate sector, IICA also conducts various training programmes in the country in niche areas of corporate affairs. The School of Business Environment (SoBE), a specialised vertical of IICA has a mandate to work in the domain of Environmental-Social-Governance (ESG), Business and Human Rights (BHR) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) etc. School has contributed in development of various key policies and guidelines like National Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct (NGRBC), Zeroth Draft of the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights, Technical Inputs to High Level Committee on Corporate Social Responsibility, etc. The School offers various academic and professional capacity building programmes to Public and Private organizations. It also involves in policy advocacy, action research and customised services to various organizations. 2. ESG Landscape in India The term ESG is widely used globally particularly by businesses to disclose responsible business practices to a diverse range of stakeholders. Integration of ESG into core business philosophy and at each step of the business activities has become important for businesses for its sustainability. Various global and national guidelines are in existence to guide the process of adaptation of ESG. There is a felt need of build capacities of corporate stakeholders on the subject and also to provide handholding support on the subject. 3. Purpose of the EOI School of Business Environment, IICA intends to engage a partner organization to set-up and implement Environmental-Social Governance (ESG) services to enable businesses in India to adopt, integrate, measure and disclose ESG initiatives. Selected organization will sign an MoU with the IICA for providing joint services as per defined scope of work. Engagement through this EOI shall be of partnership in nature as per mutually agreed terms and conditions for implementation of the ESG services. 4. Broad scope of work a) Customised capacity building programmes b) Comprehensive package of ESG related services 3 5. Eligibility a) Current and Past experience in similar work or service b) Availability of Funds for steering partnership project/s as per scope of work c) Registered as a legal entity in India (Company / Society / Other entity) Preference may be given to MSMEs / Start-ups having core objective/s and business in the ESG domain only. 6. Comments / plan of action on purpose and scope The interested organization is requested to provide its comments on the purpose and scope of the work projected for this EOI in minimum 1200 words in the application format itself. 7. Details of the current and past work experience The interested organization is requested to provide details of their current and past work experience in relevant domain of ESG in the application format itself, if required separate sheets may be enclosed. 8. Curriculum Vitae of the Team Leader/s The interested organization is requested to provide detailed CV/s of their Team Leader/s highlighting the name, complete qualifications, memberships/professional affiliations, researches done, publications, projects on ESG, current and past work experience in relevant domain of ESG, and any other relevant information. CV/s are to be enclosed with Annexure – B in the application format itself. 9. Mode of Submission and Timeline Interested organizations may submi |
