Description - Description: The Mittelland Canal / Elbe Lateral Canal Waterways and Shipping Office (WSA MLK/ESK) is responsible for the maintenance of the Mittelland Canal (MLK) and the branch canals. Differences in height in the terrain are overcome with ship loc ks.The Hollage and Haste locks on the Osnabrück branch canal each have a lifting height of 4.75 m.
