Description - The research provides greater insight into the potentially harmful side effects on chemical water quality, causing the decline of vulnerable aquatic ecosystems, habitat types and Habitats Directive species. Effects on greenhouse gas emissions as a re sult of design and restoration measures for (semi-) terrestrial nature are also relevant. This clarifies the role of soil erosion, leaching and run-off of nutrients and organic matter.
