Description - Description: On 14 February 2024, the Health Council (GR) submitted advice to the State Secretary for Health, Welfare and Sport on immunising children against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in their first year of life. The council advises that all children in their first year of life be offered protection against RSV in the short term through the National Vaccination Programme (NIP) by administering antibodies (immunisation with the antibody nirsevimab).
