Description - Description: The construction site is the wastewater treatment plant of Metsä-Tuomela waste station in Nurmijärvi. It mainly processes landfill leachate and waste treatment field stormwater. The treatment plant works with an activated sludge proces s, where the post-treatment is clarification. The purified waste water collected in the equalization basin is pumped by Lining Oy's package pumping station to the aeration process, after which the water travels by gravity through the clarification to the unloading pipe. Chemicals are dosed into the process, e.g. 100% methanol, phosphoric acid and formic acid.The purpose of the expansion duct is to expand the aeration process with a new anoxic blo
