Description - Description: Wismut GmbH is testing the desalination of mine and tailings leachate using reverse osmosis on a pilot scale (Q=1 m3/h). This produces salt solutions with a TDS content of 10 to 80 g/kg.The aim of the work is to demonstrate process combi nations for the concentration, crystallization and immobilization of these brines in the sense of a feasibility study. In order to obtain recyclable end products, it is desirable to include selective separation processes for certain substances before or after concentration.
