Description - Description: The new cluster at the University of Mannheim must meet certain benchmarks in order to meet current and future communication requirements. The new firewall cluster must offer a minimum throughput of 31 GPS when using the intrusion preven tion system (IPS). The throughput when using the next-generation firewall (NGFW) features must be at least 27 GPS. The use of the threat protection feature must guarantee a throughput of at least 25 GPS. Furthermore, the firewalls must be equipped with at least 16x10 GE RJ45 ports, 16x25 GE SFP ports and 4x100 GE QSFP ports in order to meet the internal transmission speeds.
