Description - Description: 1.2 Scope A benchtop Flow Cytometer Cell Sorter (FACS) is to be acquired by the departments of Organismal Biology (IOB) and Ecology and Genetics (IEG) located in the Evolutionary Biology Center (EBC) at Uppsala University. This FACS will be available providing a running fee and training to the research community at EBC but we also envision eventially to external users. FACS enables rapid cell-sorting based on cellular properties such as size, granularity but also importantly autofluorescence or fluorescent dyes. FACS are often large and very complex instruments.
