Description - The Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) Purchasing and Contracts Division on behalf of the Oil & Gas Division is soliciting proposals from vendors to provide sonic surveying equipment that is used to perform fluid level testing on orphan wells. Equipm ent shall measure the depth of fluid encountered within a well that will be correlated with base of usable quality water zones to determine if the well is a possible risk to pollution to local groundwater sources. The Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) uses this data to prioritize the plugging of wells that have a higher risk of pollution to the environment. See SOW below for details.
