Description - Description: In the Leiden region, Vattenfall owns and operates a district heating network with a peak capacity of approximately 120 MW and an average annual heat demand (production side) of approximately 1 million GJ. The heating network was constru cted in the 1980s and is operated at high temperatures. The heat is currently supplied by Uniper (gas-fired CHP, peak and back-up). Vattenfall will supply residual heat from the Rotterdam ports to the heating network in the Leiden region. The heat will be transported to Leiden via WarmtelinQ, after which Vattenfall will distribute the heat to customers. For this purpose, Vattenfall is building a peak and back-up installation (P&BU) in Leiden. The
