Description - Description: Lady Isle Lighthouse is situated on a small, flat, uninhabited Island, 2 miles east of Troon, in the Firth of Clyde, Scotland at Latitude 55 31.6 N, Longitude 444.0 W, with Ordnance Survey Ref NS 27535 29341. The island is around 0 .6 kilometres long and rises to a maximum height of just 6 metres above sea level.The lighthouse was built on the island by David A Stevenson in 1903, and flashes a white light 4 times every 30 seconds. The island is covered in knee-high vegetation in the summer, and is generally uneven underfoot.
