Description - Description: The capacity expansion on the Zurich-Zug-Lucerne line, as decided in STEP AS 2035, requires extensive infrastructure expansion to eliminate this bottleneck. The most important element is the Zimmerberg Base Tunnel 2 between Thalwil and L itti. In addition, infrastructure expansion is required in the Baar, Baar Neufeld, Baar Lindenpark and Zug stations, as well as a third track between Baar and Zug.The SBB is currently preparing the preliminary project for the expansion between Baar and Zug.
