Description - Description: As part of the general renovation of the Troisdorf - Unkel high-performance corridor (HVAC), various infrastructure measures will be implemented on route 2324 within a five-month closure period from July 10, 2026 to December 11, 2026. Th is includes the renewal of 18,000 m of tracks, 63 switches and 14,000 m of contact wire replacement. Three switches have to be dismantled, including adjustment of the OLA. A total of 10 point heaters will be replaced. Other components include the renovation of a bridge (repair of the supporting structure and installation of elastic rail bearings), two culverts and a retaining wall.
