Description - Description: Appenzeller Bahnen AG (AB) has submitted a plan approval dossier to the BAV under the Railway Act for the conversion of the section of the line between Stofel stop and Teufen station to a double-track tram for preliminary review. During the entire period of preparation of this dossier, a total of 4 referendums were held on various tunnel solutions and various commitment loans for these tunnel solutions due to popular initiatives for alternative variants with a tunnel to bypass the village center.
